The Global Goals of Sustainable Development

In September 2015, the 193 countries of The United Nations launched The Global Goals of Sustainable Development, a commitment to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next 15 years: end extreme poverty, fight inequality & injustice and fix climate change.

In order to get this done, 17 Goals have been set.

In an effort to make SDGs understandable for the kids, Margreet De Heer, Reading with Pictures, and Comics Uniting Nations, came together to spread the word about the 17 Goals in the form of comics.

The English version of the comic book can be found here.

Brainwiz realises that this comic can be used effectively in schools in India to educate students about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and hence, we have made efforts to translate the comic book in Hindi. While various translations of this comic book exist, ours is a child friendly version that contains words and ideas that can be easily understood by kids.

A list of difficult terms along with their closest match meaning is provided along with the book.

We encourage teachers to display this on projectors in classrooms and facilitate group reading of the comic book. Schools can also print 2-3 copies of this book for in-house libraries. However, we strongly recommend that print version of this comic book be used only if absolutely necessary.
